Book your Alpaca Experience

Te Korito Alpacas is open for farm visits all year round between 10am and 5pm. We mainly host families and smaller groups so we can offer a personal, unhurried experience. Larger groups can be catered for by arrangement.

Depending on the time of year you may see young crias (baby alpacas), alpacas in full fleece, or freshly shorn animals enjoying the sun or shade. They are calm, curious and a real pleasure to be with.

What you’ll do on your visit

• A short introductory talk about alpacas
• Meet the herd, hand-feed them and go into their enclosure
• Learn about their gentle nature and behaviours
• Meet our stud boys and enjoy their differences
• Take an alpaca on a lead for a gentle walk around the paddocks (and along the riverbank if appropriate)
• Have plenty of time for photos
• Visit our farm shop to see and feel raw and processed fleece plus our unique finished products

Please allow at least 1½ hours for your visit. Closed shoes are recommended for safety.

Booking is essential so we can look after both our visitors and the alpacas properly. Please complete the form below. When you enter the date, the page will show the available booking times. We will reply shortly to confirm your booking.

Payment can be made on the day by bank transfer, PayPal or cash. If you prefer to pay in advance we will send you the options when we confirm your booking. We do not have EFTPOS or credit-card facilities at the farm.

Poor weather (heavy rain or strong wind) may mean a visit needs to be rescheduled — we will contact you if conditions look unsuitable.
